February Product Updates: Payments, integrations and more

By
Hilary Smith

Note: In March, 2021, Roger officially changed its name to Corpay One. Our features and functionality have not changed. To learn more and understand the change, read more.

Now available in Roger: International wire transfers and improvements to the way check payments are updated and recorded.

It's a leap year! Even with one extra day in February, the Roger team didn't want to wait to release some important and exciting product improvements.

The people who build, maintain and grow Roger are constantly working behind-the-scenes to create a smooth user experience. When our customers approach us with what they need from Roger, these are the action items we put into our roadmap.

This month, some of those action items were related to payments. And, coming up, we've got even more improvements on our library of app integrations.

International Wire Transfers (USA)

Paying bills across borders just got easier in Roger. Now, you no longer need to leave Roger to process a manual wire transfer to an international vendor. And, that means you no longer need to do any manual data entry to reconcile the payment in your accounting platform.

Until this month, the option of sending international wire transfers was available to Roger users outside of the United States.

Now, all users can select this payment option when setting up or editing a vendor. Wire transfers take between 3-5 days to reach the vendor and have a fee of $25.

Check Payment Process (USA)

The visibility of payments being made and checks being cashed is a priority for Roger customers.

To improve the visibility of how checks are cashed and bills are marked as paid, bills paid through check will now only be marked as paid once the check is cashed.

Previously, bills were marked as paid when the check was expected to be delivered. This is the next step in a process within Roger that will enable our customers to void and reissue checks from Roger.

e-conomic Integration Update (Denmark)

e-conomic is one of the largest accounting platforms used by businesses in Denmark. Roger integrates directly with e-conomic so any bills, data or payments passed through Roger are reflected in our customers' accounting system.

This month, we released a series of improvements to our e-conomic integration to create a more seamless user experience and faster syncing of data. Here's what's new:

- New and improved onboarding flow. This means a more seamless introduction to the integration with helpful tips along the way.
- Customize Payments settings: You can now set your bank as the account for payments to come from when the Payments component is turned off.
- Get granular with receipt data: You can now split amount lines on receipts.
- More frequent data refreshing: The chart of accounts is now updated once every hour. Projects and cost types are also updated once every hour now.
- Organize by Department: Now, Departments added in Roger are added and updated automatically to e-conomic.

Coming soon: New integrations

In March, Roger will be launching two new integrations to work hand-in-hand with your favorite productivity tools: Slack and Zapier.

These integrations are designed to further reduce manual entry and improve communication and collaboration across teams.

We're putting the finishing touches on both integrations, so stay tuned. We'll be notifying all Roger users as soon as they go live so you can further optimize day-to-day processes.
